There is another way you can browse the internet for almost free with MTN,
it was very terrible when MTN upgraded their firmwares which later blocked a the available cheats,

Cheats like:

Yourfreedom

Freegate

Indian Wep Proxy

Nigerian youths were very unhappy about the MTN upgrade, average Nigerian browse through these internet tunnels not because they were restricted from certain websites but due to the internet cost which most of Nigerians cannot afford.

 

Though when MTN upgraded their firewall which automatically block all the cheats they later switched over to other network for the same purpose of free browsing, which we will be discussing on our  next tutorial.

Now lets go to business, today i will be teaching you how you can browse unlimited with your MTN Sim.

Before you can begin will need to have a USB internet modem or u can as well use your mobile phones as your internet modem but it is strongly recommended you use usb data modem { HSDPA (3.5g)}  for faster transmission, the HSDPA(3.5g) transmits in megabytes while phones can only transmit in kilobytes, so we recommend you use usb data modem instead of phone but if you smart phones like Blackberry, Android (from version 4 .0) feel free to use them cause they also transmit in megabytes.

Now lets go there.

THE CONFIGURATION OF YOUR PHONE /MODEM

1. for phone users install and run your PC suite on your PC or Laptop after that just change your APN from (web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net) to (blackberry.net) without the quote, now connect your phone to your PC or laptop ( a msg will popup after a successful connection).

for HSDPA users just plug the modem, install and run the program then connect it to internet, if you are using MTN f@stlink it is automatically configured but you will still add a new configuration since you can  edit the default setting.

This is how you can configure your MTNfastlink modem.

1.       Launch you MTN fastlink platform

2.       Goto SETTINGS

3.       Select OPTIONS

4.       Select PROFILE MANAGEMENT

5.       Click on NEW

6.       Then  change the in PROFILE NAME (new profile) to MTNBB

7.       Under APN click  on STATIC and put (blackberry.net) without the  quote

8.       Under AUTHENTICATION just type *99# in the ACCESS NUMBER BOX

9.       Then save and set the setting as the default setting by clicking on SET AS DEFAULT and EXIT

 if you are using other HSDPA modem you will need to configure it with the parameters given above you.

after all these configurations you  will need to  subscribe to MTN BB plan which is #1,000/#1,500 respectively.

To subscribe text BBC to 21600 for one month 7 days or text BIS to 21600 for month 7days.
